Northeast Snowstorm Leaves 400,000 Without Power

A powerful spring snowstorm left about 400,000 customers without power in Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont, with more than 280,000 in Maine, over 100,000 in New Hampshire, and about 15,000 in Vermont still affected. The storm, which brought over a foot of snow to the region, is expected to gradually weaken over the weekend, with slow progress in power restoration. Air travel was disrupted, with over 500 flights canceled, and coastal flooding is a concern as the storm lingers. Despite the disruption, springlike weather is expected to return in time for the solar eclipse on Monday.
