"Hurricane Hilary Threatens California with Flooding and Crop Disruptions"

Hurricane Hilary, currently a Category 4 storm, is expected to bring heavy rainfall and "significant flooding impacts" to parts of Southern California and the southwestern U.S. The storm is forecasted to weaken to a tropical storm before reaching southern California, but dangerous flash flooding and strong winds are still expected. Swells along the coast and damaging wind gusts are also anticipated. Tropical storm watches and warnings are in effect for parts of western Mexico.
