The Upper Peninsula of Michigan will experience widespread rain and struggle to reach the 50s, while the Lower Peninsula will have intermittent cloud cover and highs in the 60s. Rain will rotate counterclockwise around an area of low pressure over Central and Northern Michigan, keeping those areas dry while the U.P. and the Michigan border will see rain. Showers will be most numerous across southwest Lower MI, and relatively isolated across central Lower. There is a chance of thunderstorms in southeast Michigan and the Thumb this afternoon during peak heating.
