Power Outages and Stormy Weather Continue to Plague Thousands

Thousands of people in Oregon and Southwest Washington lost power due to strong winds in the region. The largest outages were reported near Government Camp, the Oregon Coast, areas around Salem, and northeast Portland. By 2 p.m., most of the power had been restored, with only a few customers still without power. The National Weather Service had issued a Wind Advisory for the Willamette Valley, but it has since been lifted. Minor tree damage and isolated power outages are still possible due to forecasted wind gusts.
