"Sacramento County Storm Fallout: Downed Trees, Power Outages, and Property Damage"
TL;DR
Strong winds and heavy rains in recent days caused significant storm damage across Sacramento County, with downed trees in various areas including Curtis Park, Fair Oaks, and Marysville Boulevard. While some trees fell onto homes, there were no reported injuries. Residents noted surprise at the relatively lesser damage this time around. The Sacramento Municipal Utility District is focusing on public safety and assessing downed power lines and trees, with no estimated time for full power restoration. Tragically, two storm-related deaths occurred in Carmichael and Yuba City due to fallen trees.
