Severe Rainstorms Cause Flooding and Snowfall in Philadelphia Region

Heavy rains from a massive storm caused flooding on parts of I-95 and the Schuylkill Expressway in the Philadelphia region on Sunday night. A flood advisory was in effect until 11:30 p.m., with up to an inch of rain already fallen and an additional 1 to 2 inches expected. While no waterway flooding was reported, a flood watch remains in effect until Monday afternoon. The precipitation is forecast to stop by midmorning, with temperatures in the 40s and brisk winds. Tuesday and Wednesday will be dry but chilly, with a warmup expected on Friday.
