Severe Weather Alert: Wind and Rain Threaten DC Region

The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for the D.C. area as a powerful coastal storm brings heavy rain and gusty winds. The advisory is in effect until 2 p.m. Monday, with northwest winds of 25 to 30 mph and gusts up to 50 mph expected. A flood watch is also in effect, and the storm system is expected to bring 2-4 inches of rain. Flooding is possible, and there may be isolated instances of wind damage.
