Storms Cause Widespread Power Outages and Damage in Central Oklahoma

Overnight storms in Oklahoma City caused downed power lines and snapped poles, resulting in blocked traffic, closed businesses, and trapped families unable to leave their homes. With temperatures reaching the middle 90s, residents were concerned about the lack of air conditioning. Power was restored to most customers, but around 3,200 customers along NW 122nd remained without power. OG&E worked to clear the debris and open up access for affected neighborhoods.
