US unleashes heavy strike wave on Iran after attack on troops

The USCentral Command says it carried out a heavy wave of strikes against Iran in retaliation for Iran’s Tuesday attacks on US forces in the region, hitting dozens of IRGC targets including military command centers, missile and drone facilities, coastal surveillance and maritime sites. Iranian state media reported casualties on Qeshm island and other locations as the attacks, which lasted about an hour, marked a sharp escalation amid renewed US-Saudi strikes in Iraq and broader Iran–US hostilities.
