"1000 Lego Astronauts Reach Edge of Space on Mini Shuttle"

A team of space architects and engineers from Slovakia and the Czech Republic sent 1,000 Lego astronauts on a trip to near space on stratospheric balloons before returning safely to Earth on a specially designed landing platform resembling a mini space shuttle. The Lego astronaut minifigures took off on three separate balloons in batches of about 330 per flight and were filmed by two cameras. The Lego astronauts will now be put up as a prize in a drawing in the Czech Republic and Slovakia for anyone who buys and registers a new Lego set.
