Astrophysicist Revolutionizes Parking with Innovative Solutions

Astrophysicist Manos Chatzopoulos, known for his work in supercomputer simulations, has co-founded a startup called ParkZen that uses smartphone data to provide real-time information about parking availability. The app, which is currently being used by thousands of students at LSU, aims to address the limited real estate and limited information issues associated with parking. ParkZen has plans to expand to other universities and locations, and is also exploring partnerships with parking operators and integrating with existing apps. The long-term goal is to provide parking information and potentially generate ad-based revenue. Chatzopoulos also hopes to tackle the challenge of game day parking around Tiger Stadium.
