Nashville's New Enclosed Titans Stadium Receives Final Approval with Record Public Financing.

The Metro Council has approved a deal for a new, enclosed Titans stadium in Nashville's East Bank. The stadium is estimated to cost $2.1 billion, with the Titans responsible for $840 million, $500 million coming from the State of Tennessee, and the remaining $760 million paid by revenue bonds issued by the Metro Sports Authority. The revenue bonds will be repaid through a one-percent increase in Davidson County’s hotel occupancy tax and in-stadium sales tax. Supporters of the deal cited potential economic benefits, while opponents argued it doesn't do enough to address the needs of Nashville residents. Groundbreaking is expected in early-to-mid 2024, with an opening anticipated in 2027.
