Olympians and Private Companies Join Biden's Fitness and Nutrition Council.

The White House is partnering with private companies like DoorDash and Instacart, and enlisting the help of sports stars like Steph Curry, to reduce hunger and improve nutrition in America. Private companies have pledged over $8 billion in investments to help reach the White House's goal of ending food insecurity and diet-related diseases by 2030. The President's Council on Sports, Fitness and Nutrition, led by Chef José Andrés and basketball player Elena Delle Donne, has been expanded to include Steph Curry, his wife Ayesha Curry, and Olympic snowboarder Chloe Kim. Private sector pledges include DoorDash's promise to make more produce and healthy products available in its food delivery service by 2025 and Instacart's plan to promote fresh produce and create "virtual food pharmacies."
