Palou storms Barber with dominant 13-second win, narrows title gap

Alex Palou controlled the Barber Motorsports Park race from start to finish, leading 79 of 90 laps to win the Children’s of Alabama Indy Grand Prix by 13.28 seconds over Christian Lundgaard. This marked Palou’s third Barber win in six starts and his 21st career victory, and it moves him to within two points of Kyle Kirkwood for the season lead (Lundgaard third). Rahal completed the podium in third, with Malukas fourth. The race featured strategic tire choices, with Palou starting on primaries, pitting for softer tires, and then maintaining a lead through the final laps as Lundgaard briefly challenged before a late pit issue allowed Palou to stretch away.
