A Black-led running group, TrailblazHers Run Co., has filed a federal discrimination lawsuit against the Newton Police Department and the Boston Athletic Association, alleging racial profiling and harassment of Black spectators during the 2023 Boston Marathon. The lawsuit seeks to enjoin racial profiling, redress for emotional distress, and trauma caused by the incident.
