Porsche crash at Laguna Seca tears through fence at Zanardi Corkscrew

A Porsche Sprint Challenge North America driver Manuel Gil Del Real crashed at Laguna Seca’s Zanardi Corkscrew, going airborne and tearing through the fencing as the car rolled multiple times. He was conscious and airlifted to a local hospital; the fencing damage delayed IndyCar practice by about an hour and shortened the session, with officials confirming his awake status and ongoing treatment. The corner was officially dedicated to Alex Zanardi.
