Alex Palou of Chip Ganassi Racing won the IndyCar GP Indy after leading 52 of the 85 laps and using a perfect tire strategy. Arrow McLaren drivers Pato O’Ward and Alexander Rossi completed the podium, while Christian Lundgaard of Rahal Letterman Lanigan finished fourth. The Penske cars struggled to keep up with the front-runners. Lundgaard and Felix Rosenqvist started on primary tires, while Palou chose alternates and eventually passed Lundgaard to take the lead. Lundgaard pitted for a set of alternates but emerged two seconds behind Palou, who also pitted and emerged ahead of Lundgaard. O’Ward, who pitted later, passed Lundgaard to finish second.
