Restart chaos derails SVG, Zilisch in San Diego Cup clash
TL;DR
On lap 32 of the NASCAR Cup race in San Diego, Austin Hill missed Turn 1 and forced Connor Zilisch and Shane van Gisbergen into the wall, triggering a massive restart pileup that destroyed both Trackhouse cars and damaged others before a lengthy red flag; SVG vented after the exit, calling the day 'unreal fast' and 'I'm filthy' as he looked to rebound on the road course, while Zilisch rued his sixth DNF of the season as teammates and rivals like Suarez, Blaney, McDowell, Herbst, Nemechek and Gibbs endured damage.
