Hendrick signs rising NASCAR prospect Connor Zilisch for 2028 Cup ride
Hendrick Motorsports announced a multi-year deal with 20-year-old Connor Zilisch that starts in 2028, placing him in the Cup Series No. 48 Ally-sponsored Chevrolet to replace Alex Bowman, who will retire from full-time competition after 2027. Zilisch, coming off a breakout 2025 season with 10 O'Reilly Series wins and the regular-season title, is currently racing for Trackhouse in Cup this year (with one top-10 in 24 starts and 34th in points) and will move to Hendrick after 2027. Rick Hendrick praised Zilisch's talent and character as the cornerstone of the No. 48 program for years to come.
