49ers add speed-driven edge Romello Height at No. 70
TL;DR
The 49ers selected Texas Tech edge Romello Height with the 70th overall pick to bolster their pass rush on obvious passing downs. Height is a fast, 6'3", 239-pound defender with a 4.64 40-yard dash and a 39" vertical, who posted 9.5 sacks, 59 pressures and a 20% pressure rate last season. A top-30 visit underscored the pick, and he profiles as a Bryce Huff–style speed rusher for San Francisco's rotation.
