
Big Ten Bans NFL-Drafted Players From Returning to Conference Rosters
The Big Ten unanimously approved a rule prohibiting players who declared for the NFL draft and either appeared on an NFL roster or signed a pro contract from returning to a Big Ten college football roster; the SEC opposed the move. Ohio State coach Ryan Day said he dislikes the concept but will adapt, while Oregon coach Dan Lanning warned it could create roster fairness issues and negatives for players who worked to earn spots.
