Aston Martin and Honda team up for F1 return in 2026.

Aston Martin will become Honda's official manufacturer team in F1 from 2026, as the Japanese carmaker commits to the sport again after exiting in 2020. The decision was triggered by F1's sustainability ambitions, with the sport aiming to be net carbon zero by 2030 and switching to fully sustainable fuels from 2026. Honda will provide power units to Aston Martin, which is currently a customer of Mercedes, until the end of the 2025 season. The partnership aims to deliver more championships, with Honda having helped Red Bull win the title in 2021 and 2022.
