Chiefs reportedly move on from tackle Jawaan Taylor to free cap space
TL;DR
The Kansas City Chiefs are planning to release veteran tackle Jawaan Taylor ahead of the 2026 league year, with a possible trade still on the table but unlikely due to his $20 million salary and more than $27 million cap hit. Taylor started 12 games in 2025 before an elbow injury ended his season, after 45 career games with the Chiefs and 66 with Jacksonville before his arrival in Kansas City.
