TL;DR

The St. Louis Cardinals defeated the Chicago Cubs 3-0 at Wrigley Field in a game delayed and dominated by fog, with visibility so poor that plays and even a pitch review were affected. Wetherholt started with a leadoff homer, Leahy tossed five scoreless innings, Soriano worked through a foggy sixth, and Burleson added an insurance run in the eighth as Riley O’Brien closed it out for his 22nd save.
