Guardians land Jo Adell in Angels trade, eye left-handed platoon role
TL;DR
The Cleveland Guardians acquired outfielder Jo Adell from the Los Angeles Angels in exchange for catching prospect Jacob Cozart, hoping Adell’s power and strong left-handed splits help a lineup that struggles against lefties. He’s hitting .239/.287/.395 with 16 homers this season and could serve as a lefty-platoon option, potentially alongside Petey Halpin.
