John Cominsky, who was cut by the Atlanta Falcons last May, signed a two-year, $8.5 million contract to stay with the Detroit Lions. Cominsky wore a T-shirt with a motivational message that read "1 year of focus and hustle can change your life forever" during his visit to the Lions practice facility. He set career-highs in sacks, tackles, and quarterback hits last season and emerged as a key figure on the Lions defensive line. Cominsky declined offers from other teams and returned to the Lions after receiving a text message from head coach Dan Campbell.
