TL;DR

Major League Baseball is hosting its first regular-season games in South Korea, featuring the San Diego Padres and the Los Angeles Dodgers. The games are a homecoming for Padres shortstop Ha-Seong Kim and a chance for the Dodgers to tap further into the Korean market. The decision to host the games in Seoul was influenced by the success of the 2017 World Baseball Classic and the strong ticket sales for the MLB games. The league hopes to use this opportunity to form connections with the local fan base and potentially return to Korea for future international games.
