Ohio State Set to Name Jake Diebler as Head Coach
TL;DR
Ohio State is targeting Jake Diebler as its full-time men’s basketball coach after his successful interim stint following Chris Holtmann's firing. Diebler, who met with the incoming athletic director, is expected to pursue an NIT bid as the Buckeyes narrowly missed the NCAA Tournament. The move ends a search that saw the Buckeyes connected to high-profile national candidates, and Diebler's coaching career and recruiting success have positioned him as a strong candidate for the role.
