TL;DR

Fernando Tatis Jr. hits a two-run homer in the eighth inning to lead the San Diego Padres to a 4-0 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks. The win improves the Padres' record to 59-64 as they continue to chase an NL wild-card spot. Diamondbacks rookie Brandon Pfaadt pitches seven strong innings but remains winless in his career. The game was rescheduled due to concerns about Hurricane Hilary, and the teams will play a split-doubleheader on Saturday.
