Raiders GM Open to Drafting QB to Compete with Garoppolo and Rejuvenate Team

Las Vegas Raiders General Manager Dave Ziegler said the team is open to having a quarterback competition, including with current starter Jimmy Garoppolo, who they signed to a three-year contract. The Raiders have hosted several quarterbacks who are projected to go in various rounds, including Alabama’s Bryce Young and Ohio State’s C.J. Stroud. Ziegler also addressed the team's interest in Georgia defensive lineman Jalen Carter, who pleaded no contest to two misdemeanor charges of racing and reckless driving following a car crash that killed teammate Devin Willock and Georgia recruiting analyst Chandler LeCroy.
