Sweden’s win in Milan stings as Olympic group-stage drama persists
TL;DR
Sweden beat Slovakia 5-3 but finished third in Group B after Finland routed Italy 11-0, leaving their quarterfinal path unclear. Coach Hallam shuffled lines and continues to juggle goaltenders between Jacob Markstrom and Filip Gustavsson, while Lucas Raymond and Filip Forsberg (Pettersson) provided offense; the team says they improved, yet the result feels like a setback as they trail the U.S. and Canada in the tournament.
