Michigan Rallies to Claim Big Ten Crown on Home Ice
Michigan erased a 3-3 second-period tie, scoring five unanswered goals to beat No. 19 Ohio State 7-3 at Yost and win the Big Ten Tournament on home ice, marking a fourth conference title and a 13-0 all-time record as the tournament’s No. 2 seed. T.J. Hughes earned tournament MVP honors with a goal and three points, and freshman goalie Jack Ivankovic went 3-0 in the tournament with 25 saves. The Wolverines outshot OSU 29-28 and dominated the faceoff circle (47-22), and the win secures the NCAA top-overall seed for Michigan with region selections announced Sunday.
