Microsoft appeals CMA's block of Activision Blizzard acquisition.

Microsoft has appealed the UK's Competition and Market Authority's decision to block its acquisition of Activision Blizzard, citing five key grounds on which it challenges the decision. Microsoft claims the CMA made "fundamental errors" in its assessment of Microsoft's current position in cloud gaming services, failed to take proper account of long-term commercial agreements, and arrived at irrational conclusions. The appeal process is expected to be lengthy, and if successful, the deal will still need to go back through the CMA for review.
