The UK's antitrust regulator, the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA), has invited public responses on whether Microsoft's $69 billion acquisition of Activision Blizzard should be approved, following the company's arguments that legally-binding commitments to the European Commission and a licensing deal with Sony have improved competition in the cloud gaming market. Microsoft warned that any breach of its commitments would invalidate European approval and expose it to fines of up to 10% of its worldwide turnover. The CMA aims to make a final decision on the deal by August 29.
