Panasonic introduces the Lumix S 40mm f/2, a compact 144g (5oz) fast prime at 40.9mm long that sits as an everyday option for L-Mount bodies like the S9, offering a brighter f/2 aperture, a built-in control ring and focus button, and dust/splash resistance; priced at $399 / £349 / AU$699, with pre-orders already open in the US and UK and Europe to follow. Panasonic also revealed a lens roadmap: a compact wide-angle prime and a large-aperture telephoto zoom are in the works, signaling further expansion of the L-Mount lineup alongside the ongoing Lumix S9 Titanium Black edition.
