Fashion Industry Targeted by Vietnamese Hackers Using Delphi-Powered Ducktail Malware

Vietnamese hackers have been identified as the culprits behind a new campaign targeting Indian marketers using Delphi-powered malware. The campaign, which ran from March to October 2023, aimed to hijack Facebook business accounts. The hackers used sponsored ads on Facebook to propagate malicious ads and deploy malware capable of stealing victims' login cookies and taking control of their accounts. The attackers primarily targeted users with access to Facebook Business accounts to place unauthorized advertisements for financial gain. In a separate incident, Google has filed a lawsuit against unknown individuals in India and Vietnam for spreading malware via Facebook by capitalizing on public interest in generative AI tools like Bard.
