Google Discovers 18 Critical Vulnerabilities in Samsung and Pixel Phones

Google's Project Zero team has warned owners of some Samsung, Vivo, and Pixel phones about 18 potential exploits in phones using Samsung's Exynos modems, which could allow bad actors to compromise devices by knowing phone numbers. Four of these exploits require only the right phone number to access data flowing in and out of a device's modem, while the other 14 require more effort to expose their vulnerability. Google has advised device owners to turn off Wi-Fi calling and Voice-over-LTE in their device settings and install upcoming security updates as soon as possible.
