Insomniac Games Hacked: Spider-Man 2 Devs' Data and Wolverine Details Leaked

Insomniac Games, the developer behind Marvel's Spider-Man 2, has reportedly been targeted by a ransomware group called Rhysida, who claim to have breached the company's security and stolen data related to the upcoming Wolverine game, as well as private staff information. The hackers have posted limited data as proof and are now selling the stolen information for 50 BTC (approximately $2 million) with a seven-day deadline. Sony is currently investigating the situation and has stated that it does not believe any other divisions have been affected. Cyber attacks on the gaming industry have been on the rise, with previous breaches affecting companies like Capcom and leaks of Grand Theft Auto 6 files.
