Insomniac Games Targeted in Devastating Ransomware Attack

Insomniac Games, the developer behind Spider-Man, has reportedly been hacked by ransomware group Rhysida, potentially exposing sensitive data including employee passport scans, personal documents, internal emails, and confidential information. The hackers have also claimed to possess an annotated screenshot from Insomniac's upcoming Wolverine game, as well as artwork revealing other Marvel characters set to feature in the PS5 title. The group is threatening to publish the stolen data in seven days and is hosting an auction for it with a starting price of 50 Bitcoins ($2 million). Sony, the owner of Insomniac Games, has been contacted for comment.
