"Ryoma Takeuchi Discusses Playing Kazuma Kiryu in Amazon's Like a Dragon Series"
TL;DR
Ryoma Takeuchi stars as Kazuma Kiryu in Amazon's live-action series "Like a Dragon: Yakuza," based on Sega's game franchise. Directed by Masaharu Take, the show blends the original game's story with new elements, set in Tokyo's Kamurocho district during the 1990s and 2005. Takeuchi, known for his role in Kamen Rider Drive, prepared rigorously for the role, aiming to respect the game's character while adding his own interpretation. The series, premiering on October 25, explores themes of family, love, and personal growth within Japan's crime underworld.
