The End of E3: What's Next for Gaming Conferences?
TL;DR
The Electronic Entertainment Expo's 2023 in-person event has been canceled due to "resourcing challenges," according to ReedPop's global VP of gaming. Major gaming companies like Nintendo, Microsoft, and Ubisoft had already confirmed they were not participating in the event. E3 was first canceled in 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic, with a virtual edition held in 2021 before a planned in-person return for 2022, which was also canceled.
