Anker MindBase: A Local-AI, NAS-Powered Smart Home Hub

At IFA 2026, Anker unveiled MindBase, a Matter 1.5–capable smart home hub that can act as the center of a connected home while running on-device AI (TrueSmart Agent) and offering NAS-style storage (64GB built-in, up to 48TB external). It supports up to 16 wireless cameras (plus 4 via PoE), can migrate footage from HomeBase S380, and integrates with Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, and Home Assistant. Anker also plans additional AI agents for energy management and appliances and is unifying its brands under the Anker name. A MindBase Security Kit includes TrackLight Cam S1, Video Doorbell S4, sensors, and a Smart Security Shield, with price and release date not yet announced. No cloud data outsourcing or subscription is required for MindBase features.
