Ubisoft's Steam Release for Heroes III Delivers a Dummy File, Then Fixes It
TL;DR
Ubisoft released Heroes of Might and Magic III on Steam as a content-complete package, but early buyers only received a tiny dummy file that wouldn’t run; roughly 10–11 hours later a ~770MB update added the actual game files, and the release coincides with announcements of a graphical remake bringing the classic to consoles.
