Blizzard's New Open-World Shooter Sparks StarCraft Speculation
TL;DR
Blizzard is hiring for an 'open-world shooter game,' with job listings for roles like associate design director and senior designer. This follows reports of a new StarCraft shooter in development, as mentioned in Jason Schreier's book. The game details remain undisclosed, but the hiring suggests Blizzard's continued interest in expanding its shooter game portfolio. Previously, a survival game codenamed Odyssey was canceled, which was led by ex-Far Cry boss Dan Hay.
