Bungie Removes Legendary Shards from Destiny 2, A Potential Currency Disaster

Bungie has announced plans to phase out the in-game currency known as Legendary Shards in Destiny 2, as part of their efforts to streamline and simplify the game's economy. Starting with Season 23, Legendary Shards will no longer be required for purchases at the Monument to Lost Lights kiosk, and costs for ritual gear focusing will also be removed. Bungie has provided details on new costs and rewards for dismantling items, and confirmed that acquiring Ships and Sparrows from the Collection will be free but no longer yield materials upon dismantling.
