Bungie's Marathon: The Ultimate Live Service Game with Permadeath and More?

Bungie is reportedly developing a new version of its classic game, Marathon, as a sci-fi, PvP extraction-style shooter with the aim of making it the "ultimate live service". The game is said to have single-digit load times, hidden secrets, and a gameplay loop similar to Escape from Tarkov. Permadeath, oxygen systems, and hardcore survival elements will also be present. Three maps are currently in development, but it is unclear if they will be available at launch.
