CD Projekt's Expansion Success: Phantom Liberty Pre-Orders Boost The Witcher 4 Development

CD Projekt has explained that the upcoming expansion, Phantom Liberty, will be the only expansion for Cyberpunk 2077 due to a technological decision. The company stated that they are transitioning from the Red Engine to the Unreal Engine and are not planning to develop further expansions for the game. Phantom Liberty, set for release on September 26, will introduce significant changes to the core systems of the game, and some of these features will also be added to the base game through Update 2.0. CD Projekt also revealed that a new US-based studio called CD Projekt Red North America will begin development on the next Cyberpunk game, Project Orion, with a significant portion of the Phantom Liberty team transferring to the new project.
