"Concord, Sony's New Hero Shooter, Launches August 2024 on PS5 and PC"
TL;DR
Concord, a new hero shooter from Firewalk Studios, was showcased at Sony's May State of Play, but received a lukewarm reaction from the internet. Critics argue that the game feels derivative and lacks a unique hook in an oversaturated genre, drawing unfavorable comparisons to Overwatch and Guardians of the Galaxy. The backlash is also tied to broader dissatisfaction with Sony's recent business decisions and pivot towards live-service games.
