Cyberpunk 2077 has sold over 25 million units, surpassing The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt's performance. The game reached this milestone within around two years and 10 months, while The Witcher 3 took around four years and seven months. The recent expansion, Phantom Liberty, sold three million units in its first week. CD Projekt Red shared that the expansion cost approximately $62.7 million to develop and $21.6 million to market. The expansion introduced new features and resolved fan theories, including a reference to Elon Musk and the late racing legend Ken Block.
