TL;DR

Destiny 2's upcoming DLC, The Final Shape, requires a hefty 300 GB of free space for pre-loading on PC via Steam, due to storing two versions of the game simultaneously. The actual game size post-launch will be around 155.5 GB. This significant storage demand highlights the game's increasing size and the potential scope of the new DLC.
